Elizabeth Jane Hurley is an English actress and model who gained fame as the lover of Hugh Grant in the 1990s. Hurley was instantly noticed by the media during 1994, as Grant was the focus of attention worldwide because of the success in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley accompanied Grant at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie wearing a Versace Dress that had a plunge, and was held with gold safetypins. Hurley's association to Estee Lauder, a cosmetics producer, is regarded as the pinnacle of her professional life. Hurley was hired by the company as their first model in the age of 29. In 1995 she's been employed as a face for Estee Lauder's cosmetics such as Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. Her most famous film work was in the role of Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers the hit spy comedy International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley is the designer and model of the brand's eponymous collection of swimwear. I kissed a Girl a straightforward ode expressing sexual curiosity backed with a hardedged electro pop beat brought her more attention a few months later. Many critics accused the track of encouraging homosexual relations however others suggested the song's sexually explicit lyrics were designed to attract men with fantasies. I Kissed a Girl's combination of excitement, a polished tune and an enthralling chorus made the song become a top 10 hit across multiple countries. The result was the album The One of the Boys (2007) which was a huge success. The album's song, the second Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of which Perry wrote herself eventually registered sales of more than 3 million copies across the United States.
